Jeff Washburn - Rock Lead Tenor
Jeffrey Sebastian Washburn grew up in North Miami Beach, Florida. His parents, both musicians, had Jeff singing in church from an early age and at the age of ten, following in his father’s footsteps, Jeff began learning to play the guitar. As a teenager, Jeff began to hone his style, drawing on influences from Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and Aerosmith, to Prince, Eric Johnson, and Joe Satriani.
While in college, Jeff continued nonstop voice and guitar performance and it was during his studies that he was chosen to receive a scholarship and featured position within the college's a cappella performance ensemble. Jeff holds two BFA degrees in Sequential Art and Media, and Performing Arts from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Jeff now calls New York City home. He has become a regular performer at such institutions as the Laurie Beechman Theater, The Triad Theater, The Canal Room, and Joe’s Pub. When Blue Jupiter's touring schedule schedule allows, Jeff teaches guitar and voice and performs with one of his 10+ bands at night. Sundays often find him leading the congregation in song at Our Lady of Refuge Church. On those few occasions when Jeff isn't performing or teaching, you'll find him engaged in web site design and freelance graphic design work. | Jeff - at a glance:
