Blue Jupiter's Discography:
"Lucky's Revenge" (2011)
Blue Jupiter's much awaited studio release "Lucky's Revenge" is a veritable re-introdction of Blue Jupiter. After 10 years touring the world, writing, arranging, and performing, Blue Jupiter is thrilled to re-introduce themselves with this CD. This album is Blue Jupiter's signature vocal sound at its finest.
"Golden Lucky" (2007 Limited Release)
Golden Lucky started as a collection of songs that Blue Jupiter performed during their tour of Asia in 2007. During their two month headlining gig at the Sands Casino in Macau, China, Blue Jupiter set up a recording studio in their hotel and recorded a few of their favorite songs from the tour. However, after involvement in a CBS Reality show, production on this album was halted, in part due to contractual obligations with CBS, and unfortunately the CD was never finished. What's left are 4 songs, nearly complete, released only as a promotional CD.
"Live in New York City" (2005)
In 2005, Blue Jupiter performed weekly at Don't Tell Mamma cabaret in midtown Manhattan. Every Wednesday night, Blue Jupiter would pack in a rowdy crowd and try out new songs and arrangements. "Live in New York City" was recorded, mixed, mastered, and released over the course of a long weekend, rushed to make it to the presses before a large New England tour. The intent was to capture the energy of Blue Jupiter's live show, while giving the Blue Jupiter fans a collection of songs that would likely never make it on a studio album. The photo on the cover of this album was not taken in NYC, but rather at a fashion show in Hong Kong. Marty wanted to keep his hat, but it was $700. This album is only available on Blue Jupiter's download card, sold at their live show exclusively.
"Scattered Flurries" (2003)
During Blue Jupiter's brief stay in Nashville in 2003-2004, the band was inspired by the heat and humidity of the summer of 2003 to record "Scattered Flurries." Flexing there studio muscles, Blue Jupiter put their favorite holiday songs, together with two holiday originals on one CD that continues to be their best-selling album to date. After receiving many requests from their fans, Blue Jupiter is ramping up to release a sequel to "Scattered Flurries" in 2011/2012.
"Ear Candy" (2002)
Ear Candy is Blue Jupiter's first studio recording. Nominated for "Best Pop/Rock Album" by the Contemporary A Cappella Society, "Ear Candy" turned some heads in the a cappella community. It was recorded in Marty's apartment in Minneapolis using what is now affectionately called the "Omni Booth." Originally built to be an isolation room measuring faulty construction caused the "Omni Booth" to unflatteringly amplify the lower-mid frequencies of the voice. Thankfully overcoming the poor tracking environment, "Ear Candy" is a must-have for any a cappella enthusiast.
