JeffEven though Jeff has sung for most of his life, he only truly found his voice after graduating college (where he originally dreamed of working as an animator at Disney). Ever since, Jeff has been steadily carving out a niche for himself as a multitalented, in-demand professional performer with a deep passion for all kinds of music.
Jeff's versatile three-and-a-half octave range allows him to masterfully channel the high soulful tenor styles of Bruno Mars & Justin Timberlake as effectively as the low crooning baritone of Frank Sinatra & Barry White. Jeff's also got the goods when it comes to the authentic grit of such Rock giants as Robert Plant & Steven Tyler. Though often taking a back seat to his vocal talents, Jeff's guitar skills certainly match his impressive vocal prowess, enabling him to dish out rock-solid rhythms and tasty solos that work to serve the song. His guitar heroes include Jimmy Page, Eric Johnson, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai & Joe Satriani. Jeff is just as adept in the recording studio as he is on stage. His efficiency and precision at laying down vocals is such that recording engineers have dubbed him the “one-take wonder” and “man of a thousand voices.” His voice has been featured on projects for IBM, Nickelodeon, and CollegeHumor, to name a few. He's also developed a reputation for nailing parody songs, mimicking the vocal styles of Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Eminem, but most notably The Key of Awesome's viral Bruno Mars parody of "That's What I Like," which currently has over 6 million views on YouTube. Some of the places Jeff has performed at over the years include Joe's Pub and the prestigious Iridium Jazz Club in NYC; the Palazzo Ballroom, Mandalay Bay Events Center, and MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas; and the rooftop restaurant Sevva in Hong Kong, where Blue Jupiter performed for the Princess of Thailand and the President of the Philippines among many other international dignitaries. Whether he's flying solo in an intimate club, bringing the party with his variety dance band The Elements in a chic event space, or harmonizing with Blue Jupiter at an arena, Jeff Washburn delivers an energetic power-house performance full of extraordinary technique and tasty surprises. |
